Connecting the cop probe to your labscope
The coil on plug probe uses a BNC female connector
If your scope has BNC connectors the best way to hook up the probe is with a BNC male to BNC male cable that aslo includes the ground lead
 This cable can be bought seperatly or included with the purchase of the cop probe If your scope has banana plug inputs we recommend an adaptor like this and the cable pictured above  There are many ways that you can connect the probe to the labscope, You may already have the needed items IMPORTANT!!! The cop-probe has built-in protection for your scope should the probe tip be subjected to a high voltage arc BUT for it to work the probes ground lead MUST be hooked up to a good ground. You can tee a seperate ground lead from the black stacking banana socket (pictured above) |
